This life is precious and time is precious. Each minute we have is a blessing for us, so we should continue keeping ourselves accountable by questioning ourselves, like, “what can I do right now to make best use of this time?” “Is this the best use of my time or I should be doing something better at this time?”
Any minute that passes, will never come back and being conscious of this fact can enable effective utilization of the time.
Life never remains smooth, there are ups and downs. We don’t have much control over what happens, but we can choose how we relate to what happens and that dictates how our time will be, no matter how odd the situation is. The questions like these can help:
- What assumptions am I making?
- How else can I think about this?
- What is the other person thinking, feelings and wanting?
- What am I assuming from the past that may not be true now?
- What am I assuming about what’s impossible or what is possible?
- Will this activity/task bring me closer to my goals or distract me from them?
- Am I using my time and resources efficiently, or am I wasting them on unimportant tasks?
- What are my priorities for today, and how can I make sure I focus on them?
- Is this decision based on my values and beliefs, or am I swayed by external influences?
- What are the potential consequences of my actions, and are they worth it?
- How can I optimize my environment and eliminate distractions to help me stay focused?
- Am I taking care of my physical and mental health, which are critical to maintaining focus?
- What can I do today that will have the most significant impact on my future success and happiness?
