Your mental and physical health are most important. No matter how successful you are in what you do, if you are not healthy, it’s all useless. So it’s important to take care of your mental and physical health. Make daily choices to smile, have a positive mindset, work out, drink water, and sleep well. Health should not be a New Year’s resolution; make it an every-day resolution.
De-clutter your life and take inventory of your life, your habits, your relationships, your finances, and your health. Be prepared for the coming years, plan for the future and see what is needed in the future and what is not. Get rid of everything that you do not want to take with you in the future.
Be willing to adapt and be flexible. Reach out to your network to get ideas. It applies to everything in life.
Have emotional agility. Learn to not get triggered by your emotions or people. Learn it by practising it and retrospecting it. It is helpful for your life and the lives of others around you. When you get angry and hateful, it only hurts you and not the other person. Don’t let your emotions overwhelm you. Consider emotions as data and not directives.
Deepen your personal relationships through connection and deeper intimacy. Be clear with your core friends and deepen them too.
Have clarity of mission and vision. Get clear on your goal and be excited to get up in the morning with a smile.
Build a team of people who support and manage you. You can’t do everything by yourself. It is always good to have people around you to guide you.
Be open to listening to people with different ideas. Be willing to listen to people who you may not agree with.
Practice positivity and add fun to your day every day.
