In life we are given many choices and our happiness depends on the choices we make.
91- Experience insignificance or Lead a spiritual existence:
Recommendation: Everything we do in life reflects our physical and spiritual existence. Know your Vision and your core values and live your vision. It turns your life into a spiritual journey.
92- Blindly follow or Lead:
Recommendation: Choose to open your eyes, think for yourself and take action when you know it is necessary. It’s your responsibility to decide when it is appropriate to follow and when you ought to take the lead.
93- Be hard on the person or Be hard on the problem:
Recommendation: Be as harsh as you need to be when dealing with the problem, but as soft as you can be with a person .
94- Be a passive victim or Be an active agent:
Recommendation: You can go through life as a victim, blaming others for your misfortunes or you can choose to be an active agent and do what you can do to bring positive change in your life. Making excuses is the easiest thing to do – justifying inaction or wrong action. Instead of using your mental energy to find excuses, focus on learning from the past and creating a better future. Make things happen instead of waiting for them to somehow occur.
95- Remain stuck or Change your perspective:
Recommendation: Sometimes changing the perspective and looking at difficult situations differently can help you overcome the feeling of being stuck. Changing the perspective does not mean that you always choose to take an easy route. Sometimes you need to face the difficulties head on as it is the right thing to do. When you feel stuck, try a new perspective.
96- Dwell on Failure or Focus on success:
Recommendation: Learning from failure is important but dwelling in it without giving success its fair due, distorts the view of reality and we start seeing only the negative and ignore the positive. It leads to unhappiness and suboptimal performance. When we remember our success, it inspires and energises us and better prepares us to take on new challenges. Focusing on your positive past, gives you confidence about your future. Your positive past holds seeds of your future success. Water them and help them grow.
97- Suppress your tears and fears or Give yourself permission to be human:
Recommendation: Celebrate your humanity and allow all emotions, the painful and the pleasurable flow through you. Suppressing your tears and fears, limit your capacity for joy, happiness and love. When you reject the painful emotions and do not allow yourself to experience them naturally, they expand and intensify, taking away your happiness.
98- Be in generous or Act generously:
Recommendation: One’s gain is not another person’s loss. Be generous. Act of generosity is beneficial to both giver and receiver and apart from material gain it pays dividends in the currency of happiness.
99- Look for the quick fix or Have patience:
Recommendation: To develop and grow, patience, endurance and sometimes suffering is required. The expectation that personal change is effortless and fast is a sure way to disappointment and frustration.
100- Succumb to the tedium or Find the extraordinary in the ordinary:
Recommendation: Choose to see and find the extraordinary in everything around you. Nothing is dull if you take time to look.
101- Dismiss dreams or Take dreams seriously:
Recommendation: Take your dreams seriously and attempt to reach them. Even if you fail to fulfil your dream, you will most likely expand your horizon, reach new territories and turn other dreams into reality. Low expectations prevent us from getting to places that are without our reach and lead to more unhappiness because we did not stretch ourselves and realise our potential.
