Get Out of Your Own Way

Getting in our own way of success is the worst thing we can do for ourselves. Our self-defeating assumptions and behaving like losers before entering the game keep us from trying, taking risks, inspecting, adapting, and continuously improving. It requires self-awareness, courage, and self-confidence to acknowledge that we don’t know everything and that it’s ok to fail and to ask for help. When we are confident in our abilities, taking risks to try new things becomes easy. We do not know what we are capable of until we take risks or get tested.

It’s a common human tendency to stand in our own way, allowing stress to immobilize us with fear and self-doubt. However, stress, when reframed, can become a powerful force for positive change. By acknowledging that stress is a natural response to challenging situations, we can shift our perspective. Instead of being overwhelmed, we can use stress as a signal that we’re stepping out of our comfort zone and into the realm of growth. When we step out of our own way, embracing stress as an opportunity rather than an obstacle, we open ourselves to new possibilities, enhanced resilience, and personal development.

Get out of your own way, know yourself, your strengths, and your weaknesses, and continue the journey of self-improvement.
